This is the regular production, as opposed to the shortened version of the old bayonet from the Great War. The Garand was the first semi-automatic combat rifle adopted by the US army in the early stages of WW2. The novelty feature of the locking device comes from the Krag Jorgensen Danish system. The blade is in good shape with all its original finish. US ordnance marks are stamped at the forte, along with maker's initials 'AFH'. The scabbard is marked 'U.S.M7' and is in good shape. |
