Title Staff troddel/bayonet knot, 1936 pattern
Nationality German
Period c 1940
Sold

The green knots were only worn by battalion headquarter staff of the German regiments, with varying colours to indicate which battalion. The yellow indicates which company in the battalion, but I couldn't work out which. Solid green (ie without yellow), perhaps the rarest, was worn by regimental headquarter personnel.

This is relatively rare compared to the standard with pale grey strap and grey base.

The condition is excellent, ex-tailor's shop, a recent find in Germany.
