At the forte of the blade, maker marked 'J.A.HENCKELS//ZWILLINGSWERK'. Horn grips with original officer's brown frog and the scabbard with 95% original paintwork. In 1915, the officers were ordered to leave their swords at home and to carry this weapon as an insignia of rank instead.
