Title Royal Artillery beret badge
Nationality British
Period c 1945-54
Price £10.00

The design of this badge is a mid-Victorian one, although the use of the crown came in the 20th century: 'Ubique' is the universal battle honour of the regiment and 'Quo fas et gloria ducunt' (Where fate and glory lead) is the motto.

This much-polished badge in die-struck gilding metal was introduced after WW2 and is struck 'Buttons Ltd B'ham' on the slider. There is some distortion at the junction of 'Ubique' and the crown, otherwise the badge is sound, apart from some polishing and a minor patch of verdigris on the 'Quo'.

testimonials

The package arrived today, and the two items are nice. The Mother Cross actually looks a lot better in person than in the pics.
