This replaced the simple black/white/red type, essentially just adding the oak leaf wreath to the round cockade. This was worn by all party leaders fom Ortsleiter right up to the top, Reichsleiter. This zinc with gilt wash example might well be a late war piece on account of the zinc base and painted red centre.

This has suffered the common fate of most zinc based badges, inasmuch as the gilding has been absorbed by the base metal over the years, rather like the finish on zinc U-boat badges. One prong has been lost at the back.
