MAGNIFY

This is a badge for a civilian naval technical official and was worn above the sleeve rank rings on naval officers' uniforms. It is made of spun silver bullion on a woolen backing (originally navy blue, now faded to black), which has the remains of a paper backing on the reverse.

Its condition is excellent, the piece (4.9cm high) possibly never having been on a uniform.
