This is the last model of the HJ Fahrtenmesser. These knives were were used by fully qualified members of the Hitler Youth. This model has a plain blade without the usual 'blood and honour' inscription. It is maker marked in code, along with the RZM mark.
The blade has had some wear and tear over the years, but all the marks are nice and sharp and the essential profile is intact. The scabbard has lost all its paintwork and the leatherwork has been restored at some point, hence the price. The plastic grips are intact, as is the enamel diamond in the centre. These daggers are now increasingly hard to find, even if in slightly scruffy condition like this one.
