This is the classic close combat knife of the Ghurka regiments of the Raj era. It is silver mounted (tip of scabbard and pommel cap). It has an 11.75" blade with twin fullers broadening into a single one midway and has superb balance. There are two skinning knives mounted in the back pocket of the scabbard.

The blades are in good shape (very sharp!) and there is some scuffing to the leather on the lower face of the scabbard, which could easily be dealt with by judicious application of black stain followed by leather polish. It is otherwise in excellent shape.

It is unusual to find a combat example with silver mounts (low grade bazaar type). Perhaps this was an officer's private purchase?
