Title 1st model Hitler Youth dagger
Nationality German
Period c 1937
Price £0.00
Sold

This is the model with the blood and honour ('blut und ehre') inscription. It is marked 'M7/37' for the maker, E & F Horster, which is also impressed in full on the blade, which has been carefully sharpened. This knife was carried by fully fledged members of the HJ as a mark of achievement within the unit.

The scabbard retains excellent leather work and 70% of its original paintwork. The enamel in the grip badge is perfect and the badge rattles somewhat in its recess, as should most originals.

Just a quick line to advise that the badges have arrived in good condition and I am very pleased with them.

Thanks again for your prompt and kind attention.

Bayonet arrived safe + sound this AM Sat. Special delivery excellent again. Worth the few extra bob. To be honest it was better than I dared hope. I usually avoid polished bits like the plague!! Your price was a bit fierce!! - but a great marking I lacked... Please email me anytime you have anything that might be of interest.
