Title 1897 pattern George V infantry officer's sword
Nationality British
Period c 1914
Sold

This fine sword has its parade scabbard and virtually 100% of its nickel silver finish with a little minor rust spotting to the inside of the guard. It is proof stamped for Charles Reeves (ie the maker), who worked from 1902-38.

Although the sword is common enough, to find a George V example in this condition, with near enough factory finish to the blade, is increasingly uncommon.

testimonials

Just a brief note to confirm that the sabre has been delivered today. All is as it should be. I have to say I’m impressed with the ‘custom’ packaging, obviously essential in your line of business. I have made a very quick inspection of the sword & it fully lives up to your accurate description, very pleased with the purchase.

I am wholly delighted with the shako plate. [It] is a wee cracker. It is a real pleasure to have something combining both condition and quality in equal parts, and I simply could not be more pleased.
