Title Stormtroop belt buckle
Nationality German
Period c 1930
Currently under offer

This is a typical Sturmabteilung buckle of two-piece construction with a gilding metal centre and a brass field and would originally have been worn on a brown leather belt. The Stormtroops were the fighting arm of the Nazi party when it came to disputing control of the streets with the Reds.

The centre would have had a silver wash originally, but, as on so many of these, this has vanished. There is some mild distortion at the hinge end of the swivelling prongs, which still swivel freely and have traces of old nickel silver finish, now mostly lightly rust patinated.

testimonials

Just to let you know that the bayonets arrived safely this morning and I am extremely happy! They are everything that I had hoped they would be, but better! I am extremely pleased that i purchased them from you. The 1867 Albini ... is an absolute beauty, the blade is immaculate. The other is in fact in far better condition that I had imagined as well. So all in all, I couldn't be happier! Many thanks Chris.

I very much look forward to doing business with you again in the near future.
