Title Set of helmet rosettes in lion head form, white metal
Nationality British
Period c 1850-60
Sold

These, with screw post fittings with brass female mounts, are typical of yeomanry helmets of the 1850s and 60s, for instance the Worcestershire Yeomanry or Leicestershire Yeomanry. These helmets were usually made of boiled leather and were worn by officers and other ranks.

Their condition is excellent with some tarnishing to the reverse of both pieces.
