Title Set of helmet rosettes in lion head form, white metal
Nationality British
Period c 1850-60
Sold

These, with split pin fittings, are typical of yeomanry helmets of the 1850s and 60s, for instance the Worcestershire Yeomanry or Leicestershire Yeomanry. These helmets were usually made of boiled leather and were worn by officers and other ranks. Their condition is excellent with some tarnishing to the reverse of both pieces.

Thanks very much for the bayonet. I am very happy, I think your photos of your items are great because nothing is hidden and you can clearly see them. (Unlike some other dealers.) Everything was as you describe, I will be keeping a eye on your site for any further bayonets for my collection.
