I have two in stock, both in excellent condition with intact enamel and separate solid gold hammer and sickle pinned in to the frame of the medal. The 2nd model, as distinct from the 1st one which is suspended on a red ribbon, probably dates from 1944/45. They are all maker marked on the reverse and numbered by the Moscow Mint. As a gallantry award, it was only given for WW2 for the destruction of a specific target (eg tank, aircraft) in combat. This medal should not be confused with the 1970 commemorative issue, which was given to all surviving Russian veterans of WW2. The comparison should be with an Iron Cross, 2nd class. The numbers of the two I have in stock are: 734429 and 211660. |
