Title NSDAP leader's belt and buckle

This late war Party leader's belt is obviously made from re-used leather scraps, viz a series of stitch holes at the back of the pairs of holes, which would originally have been fitted with a leather tongue for the round type of Party buckle. The other possiblity is a Wehrmanschaft officer's belt (SA Home Guard).

The leather is particularly fine mid-brown calf. The 60mm high stippled nickel open frame buckle is stamped with the Assmann logo on the reverse. The leather itself is 50mm wide and is stamped with the party eagle and the logo of the NSDAP, also on the reverse.

Hanger arrived safe and sound 11.30ish today. Very pleased, it's as expected. Your excellent pics make all the difference in terms of confident buying over the net. As a matter of interest, the frog, which as you said is very a/f, is, as you thought, 'spot on'. On closer inspection it is a mk.1 Naval Frog, designated 'for cutlasses'. Date seems around 1860ish give or take.

By the way, I think your site is very user friendly. Seems to work much better than many and up to date, a rarity!!!
