Title Iron Cross, 2nd Class, 1939
Nationality German
Period 1939-45
Sold

This was the basic gallantry award in the hierarchy that led up to the award of the Knight's Cross. The 1813 date on the reverse commemorates the institution of the award in the Napoleonic Wars. There is no maker mark, hence the price.

It has all its original paintwork and the silver rim is somewhat tarnished, but essentially it is in excellent shape with a good piece of original ribbon.

Received the mannlicher steyr knife bayonet today, very pleased with it and compliments my rifle perfectly. Many thanks for your speedy delivery.

Just to let you know that the bayonet arrived safely this morning by Royal Mail. I am delighted with it and it will be put to very good use at some forthcoming events.
