Title Fob medal, RNVR (Sussex Division), silver hallmarked
Nationality British
Period 1950
Price £25.00

The RND was raised in the Great War from men from the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. The enamel medieval sailing ship device is the heraldic emblem of the Cinque Ports of southern England and was also used by the Sussex Division of the RNVR, who, as part of the RND, fought with great distinction at Gallipoli and later on the Western Front in WW1.

The reverse is marked Sussex Division, but is otherwise unnamed. The condition is fine for its age; the enamel is in good shape and there is just a little age wear. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1950 and comes in a little card jeweller's box, stamped on the lid 'The Sussex Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Ltd, Castle Square, Brighton'.

All these RND/RNVR medals came together from one source.

The day the blunderbuss arrives I could not stop looking and feeling the gun for at least one hour. My wife told me that I was sick........ I am very happy, it is a piece of craftsmanship! Well made! I have 5 blunderbusses but all iron barrel, also from England but this one is gorgeous with the Brass Barrel.

Please keep me informed when you have any other type of blunderbuss. Thanks my friend!
