This medal was awarded by Lt Col Carrick to the men under his command who had served with the Bethnal Green Volunteers up to the first dethronement of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1814. It is struck from sterling silver, but is not hallmarked. A nice example of a die-struck medal of the Regency period. The condition is about VF, ie it has had some wear and tear in its life, with the highlights all being somewhat rubbed. |
