These were distinguished from regular service pairs by having an extra layer of dark green cloth under the waffenfarbe. In this case, the latter is for the Justice section of the administration department. These tended to survive better, and in greater numbers, than the field variety.

These ex-stores epaulettes came from a source in Vienna. I had the litzen for them, but broke the set. Army Justice department insignia are quite rare.
