Title Wurttemberg Uhlan officer's cap lines
Nationality German
Period c 1900
Sold

A rare set of cap lines (attached at one end to the cap and the other to the officer's tunic) for the two regiments of Wurttemberg lancers. They could date as late as 1918, but are more likely pre-1914 pieces, as this sort of material would have been worn only on dress occasions. Silver, black and red are the colours of Wurttemberg.

They are constructed from silver bullion on a kapock base and are shot through with black and red silk thread.

The condition is excellent, showing little signs of use, although they are somewhat tarnished.

My Arisaka arrived at 9.00am. Very prompt delivery and excellent packaging! The blade is superb.. and just what I was after, its in very fine condition and just as you described.. I've referenced it in my copy of Raymond La Bar's book "Bayonets of Japan".

Many thanks, Chris, once again its been a pleasure doing business!

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
