These include two Wurtemburg examples, a Saxon one, a Brunswick one, several Prussian ones and two Reichs kokarden. They were worn (both in peace and war) on the front of the cap to indicate the state of Germany from which the wearer came. The other ranks examples were stitched in place, while these were pinned. They are all in pretty good condition, although one very late war example (c 1918, by which time ersatz fabrication was coming in at many levels) with a paper backing is missing its prongs. |
