Title White metal pompom support, last pattern other ranks shako
Nationality British
Period c 1869-78
Sold

This was worn secured to the shako by a small stalk coming out of the base of the pompom and descending into the body of the shako. In white metal, it denotes volunteer status. There is some minor patination to this piece, nothing that a good clean with ammonia and solvo autosol wouldn't remove, if it was desired.

The sword arrived on time and in fantastic condition.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
