Title Wehrmacht officer's chin cord (not Kriegsmarine)

This spun aluminium cord would have been used primarily for the caps of the Army, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe and Police on the peaked service cap which replaced the old Weimar type. In addition, it was also worn by state officials, Red Cross and Ostministerium, NSKK and HJ personnel, always indicative of officer status.

It measures approximately 30 cm and has seen very little use. The internal supports of both slides are of red plastic.
