This was worn on the peaked service cap by commissioned officers of the railway police. ORs would have had a plain black leather strap, like the army. They came under Himmler's control, as after 1936 he assumed control over all German Police.

It is made of black rayon and spun aluminium wire, measures approximately 30 cm long and is in ex-stores condition.
