This is a nice, if somewhat worn, example of a Prussian infantry/artillery enlisted man's belt, dated 1914 on the reverse of the leather by the catch (left of 2nd photo) and marked at the other end 90 for 90cms (waist size). It is also maker marked, but this is virtually illegible. This leather has a nice waxed brown finish on the inside, but the front has the russet leather finish, now somewhat stained and polished through age and use, of the 1907 pattern leather equipment as issued to the Prussian army. The buckle is the standard Prussian buckle, a reasonable example of its type with a bit of service wear and tear. |
