known fakes

[ <<  1-3  >>  ]

militaria item Org. Todt WBC for technical personnel
- German
The finish on this fake is anodised zinc with a silver-grey wash. It has some half dozen points which would indicate that it is the product of a recently created die. NB: This fake does not appear in any of the reference books as yet!

militaria item SS other ranks buckle
- German
This reasonably sophisticated copy is a Hungarian fake from the early years of the 21st century. The prongs are more or less the correct shape, but there are other features which give the game away, so caveat emptor with this one!

militaria item Fake Allgemeine SS belt buckle
- Hungary?
This would appear to be made from the same dies as the now well-known Waffen SS copies with Assmann markings in die-struck steel with silver wash finish. Amost certainly this item comes from Hungary and has Overhoff & Co markings on the reverse. It appears to be made of nickel, but this is not the same material as the genuine article.

I picked up the No5 this morning and I'm well pleased with it.

Thanks very much for a great deal hope to trade again in the future.

Collected bayonet this morning, all safe & sound as described. Been looking for one as good as this for years. Thank you.
