This zinc buckle with a gilt finish, overlaid with silver-grey wash, has the Party tax tag (a mismatch for the maker mark on the buckle). There is a strong possibility that this is an extempore Wehrmannschaft officer's buckle, converted with the use of silver-grey wash from a gilt Party buckle.
If my supposition is correct, this is extremely rare. There are no references to a silver-finish Party leader's buckle in any of the reference books.
