This is the early war period type in die-struck steel with a silver grey wash. The reverse is maker coded M5/276 alongside the RZM mark. This was later replaced by pot metal injection mould patterns in the last years of the war. Pre-war examples were either die-struck aluminium or die-struck steel/soft metal with a nickel silver finish. This is a good example with only a couple of minor scars to the otherwise pristine paint finish, probably ex-stores/tailor shop. |
