Title Hitler Youth other ranks belt buckle

These buckles were worn by Hitler Youth from the age of about 12 to 17 and, in the closing years of the war, some of these young men actually fought at the front. In 1945, my dad (in the American army) captured a group of these young fellows, who were armed with a Panzerfaust (a kind of anti-tank bazooka)!

This pressed steel buckle, with a grey wash, has a faint maker's mark.
