Title German police other ranks belt buckle, 1936 pattern
Nationality German
Period c 1940

This pressed steel buckle with a silver-grey wash has 70% of its finish intact. These were worn both on the home front and on all the combat fronts of the Reich, ie by Landespolizei, Gemeindepolizei, Schutzpolizei, and it had some subsidiary use as a fire brigade buckle, though normally these have a brown anodised finish.

Bayonet arrived safely today. Thanks very much indeed, I'm very pleased with it.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
