Title German army issue combat belt, aluminium buckle
Nationality German
Period 1938
Currently under offer

This is the first pattern Heer aluminium issue waist buckle, stamped 'FLL' near the catch (for Friedrich Linden Co of Ludenscheid). The leather tag is faintly stamped 1938. These belts were worn in all the early campaigns: Poland 1939, France 1940 and in the beginning of the Russian campaign of 1941.

The pressed steel buckles were introduced in 1940 with the leather tag continuing in production until 1942. Little remains of the apple green face paint, with rather more showing on the reverse.

The belt leather is 89 cm long, with a steel hook. The original leather tongue has gone, no doubt when the belt was shortened. Extra holes have been added to render this new arrangement serviceable. This apart, the leather is in excellent shape

testimonials

The day the blunderbuss arrives I could not stop looking and feeling the gun for at least one hour. My wife told me that I was sick........ I am very happy, it is a piece of craftsmanship! Well made! I have 5 blunderbusses but all iron barrel, also from England but this one is gorgeous with the Brass Barrel.

Please keep me informed when you have any other type of blunderbuss. Thanks my friend!
