Parseval was the inventor of the Austrian sausage airship (called the Parseval balloon in honour of its inventor), a rival to the German Zeppelin, though not with the same range of action. Reverse figure shows Daedelus seated on a rock with Zeppelin in background. Signed Kuchler, Munich, and dated 1916.

In excellent condition for age, with nice dark brown patina.
