'RICH. CHILTON, DRIVER, ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY'. Driver Richard Chilton served in Lt. Col. Robert Gardiner's 'E' Troop at Waterloo. With copy of medal roll and original split ring suspender. EF.

This troop was fiercely engaged in the action at Quatre Bras on 16 June 1815, defending the retreat of Wellington's army as part of the rearguard. They were subsequently engaged on the day of the Battle of Waterloo (18 June) as a liaison element with the arrival of the Prussians on the field and in the subsequent final assault on the French army at the end of the day.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item.
