Title Trench knife
Nationality German
Period c 1917
Sold

Nice example of mock bayonet/trench knife. False pommel button now missing (if it was ever made?). Nickel silver finish with 95% surface intact. Blade with all original factory polish. No maker mark. Checkered hardwood grip, stained to ebony finish. Approximately 70% original scabbard paint remains.

This is typical of what was carried in the street fighting in the early 1920s between the Reds and the Nazis.

I received the 1859 Enfield bayonet and this one is simply awesome.

My Arisaka arrived at 9.00am. Very prompt delivery and excellent packaging! The blade is superb.. and just what I was after, its in very fine condition and just as you described.. I've referenced it in my copy of Raymond La Bar's book "Bayonets of Japan".

Many thanks, Chris, once again its been a pleasure doing business!
