This badge was awarded for participation in the World Masters Ice Skating Competition in Berlin in 1938, remarkable for not having a swastika in sight, pride of place being taken by the Berlin bear! The inner ring of lettering (ie on the red) says: 'Eiskunstlauf-Weltmeisterschaften'.

It is a good quality badge made of tombak with a heavy layer of gilding and good quality enamel finish, the outer inscription being enamelled into the gilt base. Around all is a blue silk rosette.

The condition is excellent for its age.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item.
