Title Silk escape map of Cyrenaica

This would have been issued to officers and sergeants and all members of specialist units like the SAS and the Long Rang Desert Group for guidance in case of capture and attempted escape, or simply for being lost in the desert. It is made of very fine silk and the scale is 1:1,657,000.

It measures 20" x 18" and has some minor rust staining to the centre and four small holes scattered around the edge. It is creased from storage, but the overall condition is excellent for its age. There is no fading apparent.
