This bayonet was for the later carbine versions of 1931 and 1942. It was the straight pull bolt action rifle with a ten-round magazine. The cartridge was a 7.5mm rimless variety. These bayonets, like the rifles, were beautifully made. This has a chrome finish to the hilt mounts, showing some service wear. The walnut grips are somewhat stained and abraded. The blade has multiple edge nicks to both sides and is marked at the forte 'WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN'. It is complete with its frog in reasonable condition. (Price not as on label.) |
