Title RHQ staff troddel/bayonet knot, 1936 pattern
Nationality German
Period c 1940
Sold

The green knots were only worn by battalion headquarter staff of the German regiments, with varying colours to indicate which battalion. These solid green knots, perhaps the rarest, were worn by regimental headquarter personnel. Also, on a more limited scale, they were worn by German police during probationary service.

This is relatively rare compared to the standard with pale grey strap and grey base.

The condition is excellent, ex-tailor's shop, a recent find in Germany.

My order arrived this morning, thanks for the prompt delivery.

Two excellent original pieces, I must say.

Buckle is in minty condition retaining so much detail esp plummage on eagle's neck and chest, like to see those 'creases' on the legs also... a beautiful example of an early O&C buckle.

Belt is very interesting, rather thin, CROUPON stamped and also behind the tongue...maybe Allegmeine but no SS markings as you state. Beautiful piece none the less.

Thanks for a speedy transaction Chris, I am very happy with my purchase :)
