This is a rare survivor from the Russian front, marked inside the jacket on the snow side with 'PO43', the size mark 2 ('GRII') and various other issue numbers. Being a police uniform, the reverse side is reed green (faded) police cloth. There is an integral hood to the jacket. The field service buttons for the snow side are painted white.

There are minor tears to the jacket and trousers, the latter bearing an issue serial number differing in the 100s from the jacket's, but clearly these items have been together for a long time, given the matching fadedness and general condition of the cloth.
