Title RAF Athletics & Cross Country Association bronze medal
Nationality British
Period 1924
Price £45.00

This medal (F. Phillips of Aldershot is on the inside of the case lid and also in raised lettering on the reverse of the medal itself) was created in the early 1920s for athletics and crosscountry running. It shows Icarus having his wings strapped on by a bearded assistant. The reverse is marked 'Team Championships 1924 Open Tug-of-War Winners'.

Its condition is GVF and the case reflects this.

My order arrived this morning, thanks for the prompt delivery.

Two excellent original pieces, I must say.

Buckle is in minty condition retaining so much detail esp plummage on eagle's neck and chest, like to see those 'creases' on the legs also... a beautiful example of an early O&C buckle.

Belt is very interesting, rather thin, CROUPON stamped and also behind the tongue...maybe Allegmeine but no SS markings as you state. Beautiful piece none the less.

Thanks for a speedy transaction Chris, I am very happy with my purchase :)

The helmet arrived the day before yesterday and I had a look at it today and everything looks perfect. You packed it up very well indeed. ... I've never seen him so thrilled with a gift!
