Title Prussian infantry officer's sword, 1889 model

A clean example of the standard infantry officer's sword for the Prussian army in WW1, with a folding guard from the early WW1 period. The bakelite (or similar composition material) grip has the usual monarch's cypher, in this case that of Wilhelm II, the last emperor of Germany. A clean EPNS blade by WK&Co with no scabbard.

The hilt is 6 inches long, the hinge is 2.75 inches (7 cms) long and the blade is 32 inches (81 cms).
