Generic silver medals (the pink reflection is down to bad lighting!), copiously engraved with the details of the awards (see below). It is rare to find 19th-century boxing medals.
The left-hand star burst medal marked: 'C.G.C. Feather Weight - amateur - Championship. 1872 to 1873 won twice by Nelson Francis.' The other medal marked: 'W.L.B. Club, 1st prize Light Weights under 10 stone won by Nelson Francis.' (no date given). The light weights medal appears to have its original silk ribbon.
