Title Officer's lambskin kiver eagle
Nationality Russian
Period 1882-1914
Price £90.00

This is the badge (5.5cm across) introduced in 1882 and worn untill the abdication of the Tsar in 1917 in all line infantry and rifle regiments on a low crowned lambswool kiver. The other ranks version would have been a more robust product in die-struck gilding metal; this has a gilt finish.

The fittings are missing, otherwise the condition is exellent.

Prov: from the J.R. Gaunt & Son Ltd. Pattern Book Archive, sold at auction by order of the National Army Museum, London.

Just to say many thanks for the fast service, it's an excellent little item. Will be watching for you listing more of these and other makes?

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
