Title NSKK driver's sleeve insignia, 1st pattern
Nationality German
Period mid-1930s
Sold

The NSKK were the motorised units of the SA, using trucks, motorcycles and sidecar motorcycles. They were used principally in the run-up to the war as a miiltary driving school to prepare young men for service with the forces. They wer also used in the pre-war period to move SA units rapidly around Germany when the Reds needed discomforting!

It is in the form of a rayon diamond with a machine woven aluminium braid eagle within a truck wheel and was worn on the lower left sleeve. This has been worn, but it is in good shape for its age. There are some glue marks on the back where it has perhaps been stuck on a board at some stage.
