This was the medal for gallantry awards deemed not to merit the award of the Iron Cross, 2nd class. This example is a nice early war bronze piece with the bulk of its original lacquer finish intact and its original packet of issue marked 'Gebr. Bender // Oberstein/Rahe'. Typically, these were often given for partisan actions in Poland and Russia.

The condition is excellent and it has a nice piece of clean original ribbon.
