Title Mauser bayonet, model 1890
Nationality Turkish
Period c 1900
Sold

It is made by either Alex Koppel or WKC for export to the Turkish army. The tughra mark on the hilt is somewhat polished, but still just visible. All other markings are reasonably sharp and the grips are quite nice. The classic Turkish bayonet of the Great War.

This is not in first-rate shape, the scabbard having damage to the seam and the blade showing clear signs of sharpening and general wear and tear.

testimonials

The package arrived today, and the two items are nice. The Mother Cross actually looks a lot better in person than in the pics.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
