Title Marine artillery gun layer's sleeve badge

This rather splendid looking badge would have been worn by an able or leading seaman working the shipboard flak defences. It would have been worn on the upper left sleeve of the naval uniform. The device is machine woven in bright red rayon against a wool background with a fine mesh backing.

It measures just over 9cm high and may be an ex-stores piece, as there is very little sign of wear.
