This is an early war time bullion cap cockade for the peak cap worn by senior NCOs and officers of the German Navy in WW2. Later examples were made of rayon simulating gold bullion. This is the original material, more or less identical to the imperial cap cockade, but without the crown at the top.
It would have been worn with a bullion eagle on the blue winter cap and a gilt aluminium/tombak eagle on the white top summer cap.
The condition is nice. If someone has a cap out there missing this, here's a chance to complete it!
