Title Kriegsmarine NCO's sleeve patch - mechanic
Nationality German
Period c 1933-45
Sold

These oval badges were worn by NCOs and denoted their particular professional skill, in this case a mechanic. It would have been worn on the upper left arm. The mechanics would have been responsible for maintaining the basic mechanical/engineering elements on the ship.

It is machine embroidered yellow rayon (I think) on a navy blue wool broadcloth ground, with a cotton mesh backing. It measures just over 9cm long and is in ex-stores condition.

Swords mattered [arrived?]. I am very content. You still have which good swords for the sale?

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
