This is the eagle for the tropical tunic, and also sometimes worn on the white summer tunic, of the German navy in WW2. This example is made of gilt zinc, thus probably a mid-war production. The gilding is nearly 100%. No maker mark (although I don't think they were normally marked).

There is a slight bend in the feathers of one wing, where it may have been bent and straightened.
